If it was only one time and Bitsy is now OK, I wouldn't be too concerned. White foamy vomit could mean she went too long between meals which caused some stomach upset. You can try spreading out smaller meals more often, or offering a biscuit when you wake up in the morning to help keep something in her stomach.

All dogs vomit occasionally. If there is no food in his stomach, then usually the first time vomiting will be clear. The foam is just air mixing with the fluid as it comes up. I would not be concerned about a single time vomiting. But if Simba continues to vomit or the vomitus is yellow, it can mean that he is sick and should see a vet soon.

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Causes of vomiting in a 9 week old puppy are: intestinal parasites, foreign body ingestion (something is stuck requiring surgery to remove), something is causing stomach and intestinal inflammation (food, new treat, ate something outside), Parvo virus or other viral or bacterial infections. I would be sure that Teddy is actually vomiting and not coughing and subsequently gagging after a cough. If the white foam happens after a cough it is likely not vomiting. If he is truly vomiting try a bland diet for a few days of boiled chicken or hamburger. Feed 1 cup per 20 lbs per day. If the vomiting worsens or he stops eating he should be seen by a Vet. If he is coughing he could have kennel cough or pneumonia and should see a Vet for an exam, possibly X-rays and antibiotics. I hope this helps and I wish Arrow a speedy recovery!
