Ouch, poor Vinnie! Growths like this can be caused by a number of things, including papilloma virus (which can cause wart-like growths), allergies, rubbing on objects leading to irritation, bug bites/stings, etc. If the growth is getting larger or is bothersome to Vinnie, it's a good idea to have your vet take a look. They can take a sample of the growth as needed to rule out anything more serious, and may be able to provide a topical medication to help. In the meantime, keeping the area clean and dry and monitoring for any changes (itchiness, redness, oozing debris that may indicate infection, bothersome to Vinnie, etc) can help. If you do notice changes, or the area doesn't improve on its own, a vet visit is best.
