My puppy has dark, pimple-like bumps on her belly. What is it?

Golden retriever puppy with two pimple looking bumps at the bottom of her belly. They have dark brown centres that you could grab with tweezers (I have not).

Thank you for providing a picture of Comet's bumps, they are helpful. Also, good on you for not grabbing the centers of the bump with tweezers! It could be that she has puppy pyoderma. This is a common skin condition in puppies (a skin infection), they have very sensitive skin. She will need to see a vet to have this definitively diagnosed and if she does have puppy pyoderma, the vet will prescribe antibiotics to treat it. I hope this helps!

I suspect that these are little bumps are due to a bacterial infection (pyoderma). Puppies commonly get this on their bellies and they usually go away with good cleaning. I recommend cleaning the belly with a medicated wipe or shampoo (can get this at the pet store) once a day until the bump(s) are gone. If it seems to get worse, then you'll want to take Mia into the vet for an exam. My 6 month old golden has red bumps in genital/tummy area. Any at home treatment I can try? It doesn't seem to bother her
This is a fairly common issue with young dogs and often referred to as puppy pyoderma. The dogs will get a small skin infection in the inguinal region. I recommend a medicated shampoo 2 time a week and an anti histamine. If this does not cause it to resolve you will need to take her to a vet for antibiotics. I would monitor her skin closely and if it looks worse or has any hair loss I would recommend taking her to the vet to evaluate for parasites and other skin issues.

My puppy is having some weird pimple like bumps onher tummy and I’m getting a little concerned. Is it a normal infection because of flee bites or something or is it something big and I should go see a vet?
Thanks for using Boop by Petco! This looks like a focal infection. You can try to use a medicated shampoo containing chlorhexidine twice weekly for 2 weeks. If there is no improvement or in the meantime this appears to be getting worse, have her evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Good luck and have a good day!

I have a 5 week old puppy. We just moved to our new apartment several days ago and today i noticed these pimple like bumps around her genital area and stomach.one photo is taken on aug 10 from when she didnt have this. should I be concerned?
Thank you for contacting Boop by Petco with your question about Neela and for providing pictures, they are very helpful. It looks like she may have puppy pyoderma, which is a skin infection. The skin of the puppy is quite sensitive, and it can be common for them to get this skin infection around the genital area and stomach. This does need to be treated by a vet, she needs antibiotics, so I recommend you make an appointment for her to see her vet this week to get it treated. I hope this helps!

Please tell me solution of this problem
From what I can tell from the photo, this looks like a skin infection common to puppies called pyoderma. It is similar to acne in humans and some cases are more severe than others. I recommend getting it checked by your vet to make sure it isn't something more serious and she will probably need antibiotics to help her heal fast. Most dogs outgrow it as they get older.

My GSD puppy of 54 days has a pimple looking bump with a white tip. What can it be?

My dog woke up this morning with these pimples on her belly. They don’t seem to bother her. What could they be from?
These appear to be little pus-filled bumps that occur due to a bacterial infection (pyoderma). Puppies commonly get this on their bellies and they usually go away with good cleaning. In an adult dog this can happen when they are in contact with something that irritates the skin and sets up an environment for infection. I recommend cleaning the belly with a medicated wipe or shampoo (can get this at the pet store) once a day until the bump(s) are gone. If it seems to get worse, then you'll want to take Calamity Jane into the vet for an exam. My 15 week old corgi has recently had the emergency of three small brown bumps, none of which seem to irritate him. He also appears within the last day or so to have had a bump appear on his belly. Is this normal or should we seek attention
Skin lesions like these can be caused by bacterial, parasitic or fungal infection, dietary or environmental allergies or sensitivities, immune system disorders, or a combination of the above. Sometimes puppies like Palmer can get a type of “puppy acne” along the belly as well. If the lesions do not start to go away in the next week, or if they start getting worse, I recommend making an appointment to have Palmer seen by your veterinarian to help determine the cause of the bumps you’ve noticed and to make sure they are treated appropriately. The vet will likely want to look at a sample from the area under the microscope to determine if there is an infection and to figure out what medication is appropriate for treatment.

My dog is a 12 week old German Shepherd and she has puss-filled pimples on her belly. Is that something I should be concerned about or is it something that will go away in a few days?
Congratulations on your new puppy! We commonly see a skin infection in puppies that we call "puppy pyoderma". It is a skin infection of the normal bacteria on a puppy's skin. Every case is different. Sometimes we need to treat them with topical wipes or shampoos, and sometimes we prescribe oral antibiotics. I would recommend having your vet evaluate Emma and decide on the right treatment plan for her. I have included a link to general pyodermas below. My yorkie puppy has something that looks like a blister on her belly.... what is this?
This looks like a skin infection that is common in puppies. It is called puppy pyoderma. It looks a like a pretty large pustule. Since she is so young and small, I would have your vet take a look at it. Your vet will be able to get her started on some oral antibiotics if needed. I would not let her lick it. You can put a cone collar on her if needed. I hope this helps!
