Hello, thank you for using PetCoach. This looks like an allergic reaction. It would be best to get him to a vet for an exam. You can try to give him some Benadryl but I doubt it will strong enough to counteract a reaction that is this severe. The Benadryl dose is 1mg/pound of body weight by mouth up to every 8 hours. Example: if he is 75 pounds you would give him 75mg (3 of the human adult 25mg capsules). Yes, the dosing for dogs is much higher than dosing for humans. This is probably an allergic reaction due to an insect bite or a plant outside. those reactions tend to resolve within 48 hours without treatment. if the swelling becomes too large or if your dog is lethargic, take Junior to the vet in order to get an antihistamine injection.

This is probably an allergic reaction due to an insect bite or a plant outside, it could also be something he ingested. those reactions tend to resolve within 48 hours without treatment. if the swelling becomes too large or if your dog is lethargic, take Brownie to the vet in order to get an antihistamine injection.
