Hello. Under most conditions, marijuana ingestion is not terribly toxic to dogs in small doses, but since the concentration of THC in marijuana can vary from 1-10%, & the amount added to the edibles is unknown, you do need to keep a close watch on Bodie. Lethargy is a very common sign of intoxication, as is loss of coordination, vomiting, tremors & dribbling urine. If her symptoms remain mild, then observation at home is reasonable. Recovery can take several days. If at any time her symptoms worsen, as she becomes so sleepy, she cannot be awakened, or the vomiting is nonstop, she develops seizure like activity, please get her to a veterinary facility. If you can monitor her temperature rectally, make sure it stays between 101.5 - 103.0. If the temp goes below 100 or above 103, call your vet. And, watch her respirations. Normal resting respirations should be around 30 per minute. Then can drop as low as 20 per minute when she is asleep, but if you notice she is extremely lethargic, but awake & her respirations are below 20, please contact your veterinarian. Good luck & thanks for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
