What food, brands, and amount for my 3-month British Shorthair kitten?

I am going to get a 3 months old British Shorthair kitten on Friday and I have no idea on what food to give, brands and so and which amount. I would love to get someone to give me a planning and a food list to proper feed him.

British Shorthairs are so cute! The brands of food I recommend are Royal Canin, Hill's Science Diet, Eukanuba, or Iams. I feed my cats Royal Canin. Ichiro will need a kitten diet, so get that. Royal Canin has a British Shorthair specific kitten food called royal canin british shorthair kitten. I recommend getting him that. Each brand of food has a different daily allotment, so read the bag of food to get the instructions on how much to feed him. With dry food, you can leave the daily allotment out all day for him to nibble on when he's hungry, or you can divide in into three equal portions to feed once in the morning, once at noon, and once in the evening. He will need a kitten food until he is 12 months of age, and then you should switch him to an adult cat diet. I hope this helps!

    Royal Canin British Shorthair is a fine breed for a kitten and one I would recommend to my clients. Otherwise, any kitten diet with an AAFCO statement to meet the needs of growing kittens should be sutiable.

I'm not familiar with this brand of food to be honest. Brands I recommend include Royal Canin, Hill's Science Diet, Purina ProPlan, and Iams. I would feed Ryo one of those brands, and make sure it's a kitten formulated food. He needs kitten food until he is a year old. Best of luck.

Congrats on your new kitties! Given that you have a variety of cats, I would get a high quality cat food as opposed to brands for specific breeds. While I do feel that foods for breeds are worthwhile, it's hard to make sure each cat eats their brand specific food when you have a variety of cats. I feel the food for brands are worthwhile because I do find they tailor to the breed's specific need. Royal Canin Persian, for example, have a specially shaped kibble that makes it easier for Persian cats to pick up with their mouth. Persian cats can have a different shaped mouth due to the shortened nasal passages, and I have found my own Persian had trouble picking up cat food. The Royal Canin Persian was very easy for my cat to eat, and I feed him that. In terms of brands, I recommend Royal Canin kitten food. Other good brands include Hill's Science diet, Purina ProPlan, and Iams.

Azur should have a high quality kitten food, such as Royal Canin or Hill's Science diet. Kittens require higher amounts of calories, protein, and calcium than adults cats, and a kitten food will provide this. I recommend feeing him Royal Canin Ragdoll kitten, it's a high quality kitten food that's specifically formulated for Ragdolls.

Brands I personally recommend include Royal Canin, Hill's Science Diet, Purina ProPlan, and Iams. I recommend these brands because they are high quality cat foods, and they have veterinary nutritionists on staff. Having veterinary nutritionist on staff at a pet food company ensures there are experts there who know what a cat needs to be healthy and meet their nutritional needs, and formulates a food to match that. Because of that, in my opinion, I would pick one of those brands. I hope this helps!

Thanks for using Boop by Petco! This is difficult for me to answer because I’m not sure what’s available in your location. In general, I stick with the bigger name brands because they are formulated by veterinary nutritionists. These include Purina, Hills Science Diet, Eukanuba, Royal Canin etc. Choose something that says “kitten” or “all life stages” until about 9 months, then transition to adult formula. I don’t have a preference on dry or wet so whichever you and Ginger prefer. I always also tell people that if finances are a concern, mixing half high-quality and half low-quality is perfectly acceptable. As for amount, approximately 1/4-1/3 cup or 1 -1.5 can per day (split up into two or three meals ideally). This will of course increase as he grows. Best wishes to you and Ginger!

Each food has a different daily requirement, so I would follow the feeding instructions on the bag of food and can of wet food to see what she should be getting. Purina is a great brand of food, I would definitely keep her on that, and switch her to an adult dry food when she is a year old. Other brands I recommend include Royal Canin, Hill's Science Diet, Purina ProPlan, and Iams. I hope this helps!

You should feed her kitten food, canned food if possible because it adds water to her diet since most cats don't drink a ton of water. This in turn helps promote good urinary and kidney health long term. You should get a high quality kitten food such as Fromm, Hills science diet, Royal Canin, Evo or Eukanuba. You should be feeding her 3 times a day, and the amount should be based on what the bag or can says as a guideline. Best of luck with your kitty and I hope that she does well at her first vet visit. Baby should have an adult cat food, the kittens needs a kitten food. To help the kittens wean and get used to dry food, I would soak a high quality kitten formulated dry food in warm water until soft. Then mix that with kitten formula such as KMR to make a mush the consistency of oatmeal. Over the next two weeks, gradually increase the amount of dry kitten food and decrease the amount of water and KMR you use until they are eating the dry kitten food only. Brands of food I recommend include Royal Canin, Hill's Science Diet, Purina ProPlan, and Iams. I hope this helps!
