Why is there a painful, growing squishy bump on my puppy's head?

My puppy has a squishy bump on his head that hurts him when we push on it and it has gotten bigger since last night

Hello and thank you for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. It could be an abscess or hematoma. Please, take Hercules to your local vets today. He will likely have the bump aspirated or lanced. If it is an abscess, a course of antibiotics and pain killers will be prescribed.
