My dog has a sore on her nose. Is it ringworm or something serious?

My dog has a sore on her nose that doesn’t seem to bother her but looks rough from online research I think it might be ringworm but I am not sure

From the picture, I'm concerned that doesn't look like ringworm to me. It looks like it could be a growth or an ulcerated area. It looks pretty red and sore in the picture, and unfortunately without seeing Chloe in person, I can't say for certain what it is. I would take her into a vet to get this diagnosed and treated, try to have her seen by her vet in the next few days. I hope this helps!

Oh you are right, this could be ringworm. Do NOT touch it, ringworm is contagious to humans as well as other animals. Take Chloe into the vet. The vet can confirm it's ringworm, and can prescribe medication to treat it. If she has ringworm, you will have to disinfect your home, as ringworm spores can live up to 18 months in the home. My dog has a sore on her snout that has grown the last few days. Does she need to go to the vet or can I treat it at home?
Given that this sore on Trixy has grown, I would have her seen by the vet. The sore could be caused by a skin infection caused by bacteria or yeast, or it could be ringworm. The only way to know how to treat it is to have it diagnosed, and the vet is the person to make the correct diagnosis. Once a diagnosis has been made, the vet can prescribe treatment. I would take her into the vet in the next couple of days. I hope this helps, best of luck!

I am concerned about the sore on my dogs nose.
Thank you for submitting your question regarding Chloe. I recommend that she sees her veterinarian as she appears to have a mass on her nose. She will likely need a procedure known as a fine needle aspirate to diagnose the mass. There is a benign growth known as a histiocytoma that is common in young dogs. Unfortunately, it has the same outward appearance as a cancerous growth called a mast cell tumor. The sooner a diagnosis is made, then a treatment plan can be formulated. what is this quarter size sore on my dogs nose. it looks like some of the ring worm pics but we also just moved so did not know if stress related. it has developed over course of about a week
This presentation could be due to a localized spot of skin infection (likely to be caused by bacteria or fungal infection). A check up, appropriate disinfection and possibly antibiotics/or antifungal medications (oral or topical ) are needed to solve the problem. Disinfection may be started at home with very diluted hibiscrub or betadine solutions. Buster collar may be useful as well to avoid any scratching (if any). My dog has a sore on side of nose spreading to top. what could it be? or what could be applied?
This looks like it could be a kerion, which is a form of ringworm. Another possibility would be a benign mass called a histiocytoma, which usually goes away after a couple months. Since you mention its getting bigger, I would take Rocky to your vet so they can test it and find an appropriate treatment.

My dog has a red weeping sore on his nose just under his right nostril and has had it for the past five days now, but is acting his normal self just wondering if you would be able to help me a little bit please
Thank you for posting the picture. It is really helpful. This lesion could be many things, and an examination with a veterinarian would be the first step toward a diagnosis and treatment plan. In my experience lesions such as this one in a young dog are usually either a histiocytoma, eosinophilic furunculosis, or ringworm. All of these can pop up quickly, and they are all treated differently. A histiocytoma is a benign tumor that will usually resolve within 4-6 weeks. The others need medications. A veterinarian can do a needle aspirate to help make the diagnosis and determine what the best treatment plan should be. Best of luck and I hope Tank improves soon. Thank you for using Pet Coach.

My dog has circles on the outer nose
Without actually seeing the lesions, it is hard to diagnose but she could have a skin infection, ringworm, allergic reaction, mites, or an autoimmune disease. Have your vet take a look at the lesions to determine the cause and best way to treat. She may need antibiotic, antihistamine, corticosteroid, or other medications to help.

My dog has a red bump on his nose. It started as a black scab and has since peeled into a pinkish/red raised bump that looks like it has green puss in it. Do you think it could be ringworm?
Ringworm does not normally become moist, a bacterial or yeast infection would be more likely. Your vet can take samples from the surface to determine the underlying cause and guide appropriate treatment

My dog has a small red sore on her nose. It almost looks like a burn but I have no idea what she couldn’t have burnt herself on. Couldn’t find a direct answer in the dog skin sores section..
This doesn't look like anything specific. A burn is not likely. It could be an allergic reaction or it could be a histiocytoma tumor starting. I suggest you have her examined by your vet. It is not an emergency.

My dog has a very round raised spot on the side of her nose, She has been digging in the dirt. It is weepy and angry looking. Is this a fungual infection?
This does look like a skin infection, but we cannot say whether it is bacterial or fungal. Your veterinarian may be able to tell with a quick exam and looking at the area with a special light that can diagnose ringworm fungal infections. In either case, this will be best treated with an oral medication....either antibiotic or antifungal. It is usually unrewarding to try to treat a lesion in this location topically because the dog will usually lick any cream or ointment right off. I would recommend that Neyle see her vet for a diagnosis.
