Why is my dog's paw bleeding for a week and not healing?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male | unneutered | 1 year and 8 months old

My dog has occassionally been bleeding from his paw for about a week or two now and I’ve been putting neosporin and wrapping it during the day to try and heal it and it still won’t stop bleeding. I have no idea what caused it or how to heal it! Please help

It's pretty serious that Leo's paw has been bleeding for a week. I'm not sure what caused it but bleeding for a week requires an immediate vet visit. I don't see anything obvious in the picture, but to make a diagnosis, I would have to see him in person. I'd take him into a vet now. Please take him into an ER vet clinic; if there isn't one in your area, there will be a vet on call for emergencies. The information to reach that vet is found on a clinic's answering machine or website. Best of luck.
