My rabbit has recurring mange. What Revolution dose is safe?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Small Animal | Rabbit | Female | unspayed | 1 year and 4 months old | 6 lbs

My bun has had mange for a long while now. It is recurring. I found lesions on 4 nails only. I check her regularly and know what to look out for. It has been confirmed that it is mange. The vet gave her the kitten dose 60mg/ml at 0.250. I weighed her today and she is 2.77 kg. The vet isn't a rabbit savvy one so want to know what the right dose is and how frequently would I have to give her revolution. Her lesions have dried out nicely from the topical but need to adjust the Revo dose. Plz help

Thanks for reaching out about Moyel. For a medium sized rabbit like this, then entire tube of the 5 pound and under can be used, even though she is slightly larger than 5 pounds. It should be repeated monthly for 2-3 applications. All rabbits in the house need to be treated even if no evident lesions. Cats can also possible transmit this. Also, don't forget to have her spayed as intact female rabbits could have a rate of uterine cancer up to 50% by three year of age. Good luck.
