Pet's info: Dog | Miniature Schnauzer | Male | unneutered | 2 years and 4 months old | 19 lbs
My 2.5 yr old miniature schnauzer vomited approx 24 hrs ago, and it was food he had consumed approximately 2 days prior (to vomiting). He had a solid bowel movement (regular as well) several hours before he vomited. He had been eating less, though, and this evening he had to be coaxed into eating his dinner (boiled pork and white rice with peas and seasoned with chicken broth). He will eat treats. Stomach slightly distended now.

Hi, and thanks for your question. As a first approach, I would suggest to withhold food for the next 8-12 hours and then start feeding with a bland diet based on boiled chicken and rice in small portion every 6 hours for the following 48hours. Then gradually reintroduce the normal diet over 5 days. I would definitely recommend a veterinary check up if the signs persist or you notice diarrhoea, more vomiting, lethargy or inappetence.
