My dog threw up, is shivering, and not eating. What should I do?

Pet's info: Dog | Pug | Female | spayed | 6 years and 3 months old | 23 lbs

Hi my pug threw up yesterday, abt 3x only ate a cracker and a peanut butter bone. However throughout the day she would shiver/tremble. Today no throwup, she ate a small pb bone and drinks water, but still shivers n trembles a bit?

Poor Ava sounds pretty sick, and she may have a stomach illness. She could be trembling because she has a fever, and I'm concerned that she's not eating much. Try feeding her a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in her normal diet. If she refuses to eat the bland diet, she vomits the bland diet, develops diarrhea, stops drinking water, starts vomiting water, or becomes very lethargic, she will need to see a vet right away. My bichon frise is trembling, weak and has vomited. What can I do to make her feel better? She is drinking but not eating.
Poor Daisie! Withhold food tonight, then feed a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in her normal diet. If the vomiting continues in the absence of food, she refuses to eat the bland diet, she vomits the bland diet, develops diarrhea, stops drinking water, starts vomiting water, or becomes very lethargic, she will need to see a vet right away. I also see that she isn't spayed. If you notice any discharge coming from her private area, take her into a vet immediately. That discharge combined with her other symptoms indicates a pyometra. A pyometra is an infection of the uterus that is fatal without treatment. I hope this helps!

I just asked about Nessa shivering/shaking and seeming groggy, I also forgot to mention, she vomited a little this morning also. Does this change the urgency of her possible condition??
That does make things a bit concerning, but I can give you a home remedy for Nessa to see if that helps. My dog after eating today began to vomit white dense foam. I gave it proto bismal but it got votmited afret a fue minutes. This happened around 6pm now 9pm she is producing saliva and slightly shaking. She is gloomy and resting beside me.

My 2 y/o pug, Dixie, just vomited. Now she is lying on the bed shivering like she's cold, but it's not cold in here. She's drinking water just fine and is not lethargic, but I've never seen her shiver like this. She's also started quietly whining. Wh
She is probably shivering because her body is trying to adjust after losing so much food and fluid when she vomited. Try to keep her calm and comfortable for now. You may want to see if she needs to get up and walk outside. If her abnormal behavior continues for more than a few hours you should consider taking her to be examined by the vet. I hope this helps. It sounds as if Abby is very ill. Vomiting and loss of appetite can be caused by a number of issues including illness such as parvo, obstructions, and other problems. Since she is so ill it is best to seek veterinary care ASAP to figure out what is causing her vomiting and get her care.

It sounds as though your dog is suffering from GI upset. Withhold food and water for about 12 hours, then re introduce a bland diet of boiled chicken and rice. If vomiting persists, call your veterinarian ASAP.

If Ariel is not eating and is shaking, I would recommend having a veterinarian examine her so that the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made. I would recommend having her blood tested to see if there are any abnormal levels that need to be addressed. If she is shaking, this is likely a sign that she does not feel well. These are very unspecific signs of being unwell. You can observe her for a while, fast her for 24 hours and then offer her some boiled white rice and boiled white boneless chicken. If she has a tummy ache this should clear that up. If you suspect that she is in pain somewhere else of if she is deteriorating and or getting lethargic, you need to take her to a veterinarian for an exam.
