My Frenchie ate Ferrero Roche chocolate. Should I take her to the vet?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | French Bulldog | Female | spayed | 5 years and 1 month old | 30 lbs

Our 30lb Frenchie just got into our Ferrero Roche chocolate on the counter. We were gone for about 3 hours so I’m not sure when exactly it happened. She had about 8-10 pieces. Should we take her to the vet or monitor until the morning?

I'd just monitor Layla for now. There isn't a lot of chocolate in Ferrero Roche and the amount she ate should not cause any problems. It can take up to 24 hours for signs of chocolate toxicity to occur, so watch her over that time period to be safe. If you do see any signs of toxicity, then I would take her into the vet. I hope this helps!
