Oh that does look really bad. Unfortunately this cannot be treated at home and leaving this untreated can lead to vision loss. This is an emergency, and Ziggy has to see a vet now. Please take him into an ER vet clinic; if there isn't one in your area, there will be a vet on call for emergencies. The information to reach that vet is found on a clinic's answering machine or website. Best of luck.

Please do not use this or any other antibiotic that is not specifically meant for the treatment of eye infections. There may be chemicals in this that will damage the eye. Eye infections are always emergencies and need to be seen by a veterinarian right away as there is always the danger of loss of eye sight. Your veterinarian will thoroughly examine the eye with an ophthalmoscope, check for injuries to the cornea and corneal ulcers, signs of glaucoma (may measure intra-ocular pressure) and check for swelling and infection. Depending on the type of infection or condition he will determine the type of treatment. Please take Melodie to a veterinarian or Pet ER today.

This is a medical emergency, and Kennen has to see a vet now. His eye is awful, and it may be severely infected or injured. This will be extremely painful to him, and to leave him like this would be cruel. His eye may need to be removed surgically. You cannot treat this at home, please take him into a vet immediately.

This could be an eye infection (and, looking at the photo the eye lids are very swollen there is a discharge and your dog is squinting because it is painful) caused either by bacteria, inflammation, or possibly even mechanical damage caused by ingrown hairs , or eye lashes. Eye problems are always emergencies. You will need to take Summer to a veterinarian or Pet ER for an exam now, please.

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Zangeer. If he has lost his sight in just a matter of hours, this is worrisome. He needs to see a veterinarian right away. He could have a corneal ulcer or scratch across the surface of his eyes, there could be bleeding within the eye, glaucoma or a bad infection. All of these issues would require treatment. My dog had been squinting a lot/having a hard time opening her eyes, especially the left. The fur below is damp too but no other visible discharge. I don't know when it started but Mom said it had been going on for some days already.
It sounds like Choco has a severe eye infection, and she needs to see a vet immediately. Any eye infection should be considered an emergency, as leaving it untreated can lead to vision loss. The vet can confirm she has an eye infection, and can give her medication to treat it.

Poor Quincy! It's hard to tell exactly what's going on without being able to do a more complete eye exam in person, but from what I can see in the photo, I'm very concerned that she may have a severe corneal ulcer - this is basically a partial hole in the surface of the eye, which can be very serious. Because of this, I would recommend having her seen at an emergency clinic today for a full eye exam. If she does have a deep/severe corneal ulcer, having it treated as soon as possible will give her the best chance of recovery without losing vision in the affected eye, or even losing the eye itself.
