I removed something from my dog's eye. Should I take him to the vet?

Pet's info: Dog | Cavalier King Charles Spaniel | Male | neutered | 1 year and 8 months old | 18 lbs

Though I don’t have an actual picture, I found one online of what appeared to be in my dogs eye (plz see attached). I was able to remove with one of his eye wipes but am wondering if I should take him to a vet.

That's weird looking! If you were able to remove it from Kobe's eye and his eye isn't red, swollen, and there isn't any discharge from his eye, you don't need to take him into a vet. If you do see any of the signs I mentioned, then I would take him into a vet immediately. I hope this helps!

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Lucky. Is the spot moveable when he blinks? If so, a small piece of discharge or mucus is likely. You can try flushing his eye with a saline eye rinse and see if it can be removed. If not, it may be a small growth cominging off of his lower eyelid. If the eye is red though, I worry there is some irritation. In this case, he should see his veterinarian for an examination and a more detailed answer. I hope this information helps!

Monitor for redness or squinting and see your veterinarian if either develops or if Kobe is pawing or rubbing at his eyes. If the discharge changes color, this is also a reason to see your vet. Use a moist, soft cloth to clean Kobe's eyes as needed.

Hello my puppy just woke up with a pink bump on his upper eye lid I’m really concerned
It may just be a stye or even an insect bite. As long as it isn't bothering him, I wouldn't be worried about it and just recommend monitoring it. A lot of times these go away on their own. However, if it is bothering him I would recommend placing an e-collar on him to prevent him from rubbing his face for now, then get him seen by your vet for medications to help it resolve. Hello. If there is no squinting or discharge, then he is probably OK to just observe the eye tonight. You do not want to put anything in the eye. If the redness is worse in the morning, or there is any change to the cornea, then please see your vet in the morning. What’s could be wrong with my dogs eye?
It's hard to tell if that is the third eyelid peeking up, or something wrong with the iris/cornea. In either case, this is something that should be seen by your vet to rule out injuries or infections that need to be treated. Until you can get to the vet, keeping the eye as clean and dry as possible, and keeping Rusko from pawing at it with an Elizabethan (cone) collar is best.

Hello, yes you definitely need to take him to your vet to get it checked, it's most likely a corneal ulcer, this can happen due to an injury or eye infection, often it can get worse and even cause blindness in that eye, it needs to be treated with special eye drops

It appears that she has an eye infection, and yes you should take her into the vet. Any eye problem needs to be checked out by a vet promptly as leaving it untreated can lead to vision loss. I do not see his 3rd eye lid exposed in this pictures. His eye does not appear inflamed from it, so there is minimal chance it is causing irritation right now. You can get sterile eye wash to try and flush the eye to make sure nothing is embedded there, but If he is unaffected from it there it nothing you need to do at home except monitor it. If you noticed any redness, squinting or ocular discharge, then bring him to a vet.

Poor pup! If he's keeping the eye closed or if the [eye is red](https://www.petcoach.co/article/why-are-my-dogs-eyes-red) and there's discharge coming from it, it's likely that he either has an [eye infection](https://www.petcoach.co/dog/condition/conjunctivitis/) or an injury of some kind to the eye, such as a corneal scratch or ulcer. I would recommend having him examined by a vet or [veterinary ophthalmologist](https://www.acvo.org/) as soon as you can, since he will may prescription eye drops to treat the problem. Eyes are delicate, so the sooner he gets an exam and proper medication, the better - some problems can cause permanent damage or vision loss if they aren't treated promptly.
