My puppy is smaller than siblings. Will he grow to full adult size?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Rottweiler | Male | unneutered | 1 month and 17 days old | 8 lbs

Hi, I just bought the puppy and at the time of birth the breeder told me he had to give him resuscitation and after that his mom rejected him. They did a great job taking care of him they kept him warm and fed him. He fed from his mom and he looks healthy and active but is a bit smaller compared to his siblings. I want yo know if this can affect his growth and development and will stay smaller? Or can he grow or develop eventually just like his parents or siblings size? Thanks

Even though Orux is smaller than his siblings, he can still grow to close to full size. He may be a bit smaller than them when he becomes an adult, but he should be around their size. Keep in mind that every breed has a range of sizes and weights, and dogs within that breed can go anywhere on the range. So even if he's on the smaller size, he will still be within the normal range for a Rottweiler. Only time will tell how big he will become. I hope this helps.
