My dog has a purple lump that's growing. When should I see a vet?

Hello and thank you for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. It looks like a burst / infected skin mass. Please, take your dog to your local vets for an appointment. Full clinical examination will help to decide what treatment is required. I suspect your dog will be prescribed a course of antibiotics or topical antiseptic treatment to start with. Your local vet may want to surgically remove the lump or take a biopsy once the infection / bleeding is under control.
