Hello. Unfortunately, that looks like a concerning lump, possibly a tumor. I would encourage you to have this evaluated at your earliest convenience. Any doubts, I would recommend removal as this could prove to be completely curative. Do have this checked out soon & thanks for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.

    From what I can see, it looks a bit like a cyst. I would get him in to see your vet and have it checked out just to be safe. If it is something more serious then getting it seen and treated as soon as possible is best.

    Unfortunately the photo is a bit blurry but I do see what you are referring to. Any lumps/bumps that you notice on your dog should be checked out by your vet. Lumps are usually one of three things: * abscess (infection) * cyst/wart * cancer/tumor There is no way I can tell you what it is just by looking at a photo but I have a suspicion it is either a wart or a cyst both of which are benign. I suggest you have your vet check it out to be on the safe side. It is really quite impossible to diagnose these things over the internet. Hope this helps. Best wishes.
