Why do my puppies have severe diarrhea and white seeds in their poop?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Samoyed | Female | unspayed | 6 years and 5 months old | 50 lbs

Hi, Betrix gave birth to very healthy puppies, at first the pups have perfect brown consistency poop, but after i bottle feed with royal canin colostrum the poop change a little bit watery yellow and has like white seeds in it, but they were still doing fine, the poop is still quite firm. At day 3, 2 puppies had severe diarrhea, so i change the milk to esbilac, then they all have very severe diarrhea, is it because i change the milk? But they already had diarrhea even before i change it. Thx

I'm wondering if the puppies have tapeworms if you are seeing white things in their poop. Tapeworm segments look like rice, and cause diarrhea. Have Betrix and her puppies seen by a vet to get this treated. I hope this helps!
