Why won't my dog turn his neck? Is it a pinched nerve or crick?

Pet's info: Dog | Rat Terrier | Male | 8 years and 3 months old | 17.5 lbs

My dog doesn’t seem to be wanting to turn his neck to one side. Doesn’t seem to be in pain. Css as n he have a pinched nerve or crick in his neck? What can I do to help?

Thank you for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach with your question about Prancer. Poor boy. I suspect he is in pain if he won't turn his neck to one side. Unfortunately there are no OTC pain medications you can give him. Many human ones are toxic to dogs and can be fatal if given. I think it's best to take him into a vet today or tomorrow to get this checked out. I hope this helps!
