My puppy had a red spot on him last night. It disappeared. But now today there are two spots in different locations on his tummy. Should I be worried? Pet's info: Dog | Dachshund (Miniature Smooth Haired) | Male | unneutered | 2 months and 19 days old | 4 lbs

Hello and thank you for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. The spots look unusual. They don't look like typical allergic reaction, infection or parasite infestation. Maybe Benny was bitten by a bug or a tick ? Please, take Benny to your local vet for full clinical examination. Your vet may recommend blood test to check his platelet count and skin testing to find out what is going on. Benny will likely need an anti-inflammatory medication in cream or ointment for a few days.
