My dog has arched back, stumbling, can't walk. Should I see a vet?

Pet's info: Dog | Black Mouth Cur | Male | 80 lbs

Hello, about a couple days ago something has become very wrong with my dog. The first day my dogs back was very arched, he wouldn’t bend his back legs, was panting very bad, stumbling, and wouldn’t sit down willingly. The next day he couldn’t life his front legs and would fall on his face. He looked like he was feeling better today and he could walk fine but you could tell he was very unbalanced and stumbling a lot. Can I please have some information in what we should do? And what this could be?

Thank you for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach with your question about Harley. I suspect that he may be in pain or he could have a problem with his spine or hips. A problem with his spine would explain the issues he has been having with both the front and hind legs. He could have a slipped disc. I would take him into a vet asap. The vet can diagnose what is causing his problem and can treat him. I would suspect the vet will want to do x-rays. I hope this helps!
