Dog exposed to parvo, now vomiting. Is it parvo or just car sick?

My 2 year old dog was exposed to parvo a week ago, today she threw up in my car (possibly car sick?) but has had normal poop and has been acting normal since. I am wondering if this is cause of concern, as I will absolutely take her to the vet but would rather not as it is over 2 hours and I would miss work. What do you think? Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | 22 lbs

Thank you for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach with your question about Daisy. If she is fully vaccinated against parvo (and is up to date with her boosters), then she will be protected and there is no need to worry. If she is not up to date on her vaccines, then this is a concern. The incubation period is typically 3-5 days, so I would expect a week on, she would have had symptoms of it by now, but it can be up to 14 days. I suspect that it may be she is car sick. I can give you a home remedy for her that may help. Withhold food for 12-24 hours, then feed a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in her normal diet. If the vomiting continues in the absence of food, she vomits the bland diet, develops diarrhea, stops drinking water, starts vomiting water, or becomes very lethargic, she will need to see a vet right away.
