My outdoor cat is missing for over a week. Will she return home?

Our cat is an outdoor cat and she has not come back in a bit more than a week. Will she come back? We have had her for over a year.

I hope Midnight comes back, but there is a chance she might now. Search the neighborhood and ask your neighbors if they have seen her. Check with the local SPCA to see if she's been picked up, and check with local vet clinics as well.

Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! I am so sorry about Moli! Outdoor cats, especially not spayed or neutered will wander. The fact she did return after 11 days makes be think that her being gone 2 days is too soon to say something bad happened. The risk to outdoor cats are: injuries from vehicles, other animals and finding her homes. The inured back leg could be from a fight, being hit by a car or falling from something. You can ask around and post fliers and see if anyone has seen her or know what might have happened. The only thing to do if she comes back is to have her spayed and keep her 100% indoors to prevent wandering off. I hope she returns soon!

Thank you for submitting your question regarding your cat. I am so sorry to hear about your situation. You can place his favorite food outside to try to entice him to come home and search the surrounding area. Maybe a neighbor has seen an injured cat. If there is a local veterinarian, ask if anyone has brought an injured cat to the hospital. I hope he returns home soon.

My 6 months old unneutured male cat has gon missing yesterday ...what are chances that he will return?
I hope he's ok! I'd say chances are still good at this point - I recommend keeping food out for him, and set his litterbox outside so he can recognize his familiar scent if he's become a bit disoriented. I hope he finds his way home!

My stray 3-4 month stray alley kitten ran out the house 7 hours ago into woods. We sear hex for hours. Can she survive and wilk she ever return?
If she grew up as a stray, then I think she'll have a good chance of surviving. Cats do have a good sense of direction, so she might return. It's not uncommon that cats go for a walkabout for a day or two, then return. However, she also may be trying to get back to her alley home. If that is somewhat nearby, then I'd check for her there. It's also good to start hanging flyers in the neighborhood and check with local shelters. People tend to pick these kittens up when they see them. I hope that helps and your kitty returns soon.

my cat was out of home for about 7 days and it was attacked by another cat at 4 a.m today and i have not found my cat scince .what to do? i think it is in our neighbour's house
You can try putting out food and your cat's litter box. This will sometimes entice them to come home. I would also check with your neighbors to see if they have your cat or have seen him. Once you find him he may need to go to the vet to be checked out since he has been attacked and since he was gone from home for so long. Good luck.

Oh no, I'm so sorry Luna is missing. Have you checked with local vet clinics? Let them know you are missing her, and they can keep an eye on her in case someone brings her in. You can also check any local animal shelter. Keep searching, and check very small places. It's amazing how cats can squeeze themselves into very tiny places. Also check up trees. I lost an indoor cat once, and found her high up in a tree. I hope this helps and you find her.

6 days is a long time, although it's pretty impossible to predict how long she might be gone for. Usually when they're in heat they come and go, returning home to eat. Hopefully she has come back home by now, but if not I would put signs up in your neighborhood.

my cat Hazel was missing for almost two weeks and she just came home last night, and she seems fine with no cuts or scratches that I can see no fleas that I can see and I did give her a flea treatment when she got home, she's acting pretty normal exc
Poor Hazel. The main things I would look for is if she stops eating or starts vomting or having diarrhea. Cats that run off for a while may have been bitten or injured while gone. Although you don’t see any obviously punctures, I would watch for any swellings anywhere. An abscess could always form over the next week from a previous injury where the skin already healed. Let her rest but her activity should pick up after a few days of sleeping. I hope this helps and she has a full recovery.

.moved into a new flat on 28th feb and bagpuss disappeard the next day and has not been since, have visited old flat daiky but no sign of him. will he return or do i fear the worst
