Why is my cat so attached, talkative, and protective of me only?

Pet's info: Cat | Aegean | Male | neutered | 7 years and 7 months old | 22 lbs

on top of all the weird thing my cat does, i've been curious as to why he does the things he does. he is very talkative, and he responds to people like he knows what they are saying, or sometimes he just talks to talk, why does he do this? he also digs out things like towels and clothes (only MINE) when i'm not home, i know he is attached to me, but why does he do this nearly everyday? he is also very protective of me only, he doesn't even bite or scratch me, but he hides from others, why?

Some cats are very talkative, and can respond when people speak to them. I have a Ragdoll who meows when I call his name, and comes when I call him. He may love your scent, which is why he takes your stuff only. He just sounds very attached to you.

Your cat was probably being very protective of you because he felt that you were being threatened. This can be a normal response for a pet that is very attached to a specific person. If he exhibits this behavior again you should remove Kitty from the situation to protect you and to teach him that his behavior is not acceptable. If Kitty starts showing more aggressive tendencies more frequentlt you may want to consult your vet for specific training advice and/or medication to help him calm down.

From what you are describing I sounds like you and Milo have a strong bond which is wonderful. Cats can vary greatly in their personalities and attachment levels, just like humans. if this behaviour isn’t new, I would not be concerned. Some cats are just 'one person cats' meaning they naturally don't care for anyone other than 'their' person. This sounds like Lourdes personality to me! There are dogs (and probably humans) just like this as well. I would not worry about it as long as you are ok with the situation. Please post again if you have any further questions!

When my cat wakes up from her naps she cries looking for me, wondering why?
She loves you. Cats are, contrary to common opinion, not solitary animals. Cats love their owners, some more , some less and some get so attached that they do not want to be separated from their "mommy". I have one like that too. She always has to be around me and when I am not in sight or away she meows and looks for me (with a sock in her mouth....)

These are pretty common behaviors for a young cat. Cats are often nocturnal/playful at night, and the its very rare for cats to greet their people when they come home. As far as following you around, and crying for you when you're gone, you are probably her favorite person! I don't think you have anything to worry about with her. You can add some environmental enrichment things to help keep her occupied/ entertained, and this may help. My cat dad following me and meowing I gave them food and water nothing just continued and when I try to get them they try to bite.
I’m sorry to hear about your cat. Perhaps he is protecting another cat (do you have a female in heat)? Perhaps he is not feeling well. Or perhaps he is just taking out some male aggression on you? If he is not neutered yet, I recommend that. You can also try a cat toy to see if he just needs to get some prey-drive type behavior out of his system. Otherwise, talk to your vet to see if there is something we’re missing or something else we need to try. Best of luck to you and your boy!

He is excrssively vocal and tries to continuously nurse on blankets. He almost acts nervous and anxious.
He probably was taken from his mother very early and is a sensitive kitty. He needs lots of TLC and pets and wants to be talked to and snuggle. I would take him to a vet for a general exam to make sure there is not a hidden health condition and once that is ruled out, it is likely that he just needs a lot of attention and TLC.

Loki has become very territorial when it comes to me - hell cuddle up to me and if anyone touches me he will hiss, scratch and bite as if they were harming me. As a neutered 1 year old male, is this normal behavior or is he just really attached to me
Loki is quite adorable! The behavior you're describing, him being upset when someone else is near you, is actually more suggestive of him being generally anxious or anxious about contact with unfamiliar people, as compared to territorial aggression. You are his Touchstone, and you keep him comfortable, so when someone comes near you he feels like his safe spaces is being encroached on. I would recommend not being near him when other people are going to interact with you, even putting him away when you're going to be having friends over, etc, and talking to a behaviorist. Your veterinarian should have some recommendations. it's great that you're paying attention to this behavior now! With some help, you can get it sorted out.

Cats typically rub on things that they are trying to reclaim, especially when they are on inanimate objects. If you go away from the home, with Chandler, and then come back home, he is likely trying to reclaim his possessions in the home. : ) No worries, this is natural for cats to do. It's possible Spirit may feel a bit anxious when you're gone. Cats can become clingy and exhibit the behaviors listed when they are feeling anxious. A good first step is always to schedule a vet checkup and rule out any possibility of illness that may be causing these behaviors as well. That said, if Spirit checks out healthy, there are a few things you can do to help. When you leave the house, playing a soothing talk show on TV or on the radio can help, as well as placing pheromone diffusers/calming collars on spirit to help her relax. You can also get her more used to you leaving by only leaving for a few minutes, then coming back. Make sure to not make a big deal out of the event when leaving, so she doesn't anticipate it and start to become anxious. A good play session to get her tired out before you leave can also help reduce anxiety as she'll likely just want to sleep while you're away. If the issue continues, or worsens, talking with a veterinary behaviorist may help as they
