Congrats on Pudd'n being pregnant! You can do regular exercise and walks with her, but avoid anything strenuous. Follow her lead, do not push her to do too much. After day 30 of pregnancy, take her on short walks to avoid her getting too tired. Stop the exercise during the last three weeks of pregnancy. Best of luck, I hope this helps!

Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! I wouldn't push the exercise (no dog parks, running with you for mile, too long chasing balls) but I would let her do light activity as much as she wants. She can run. Personally I do not think you need to cage her or chain her up. She will slow down close to delivery on her own. I hope this helps!

Thanks for your question. There are tests that can be done by your veterinarian to determine if Soska is pregnant after about 3 weeks including ultrasound, x-ray, and blood tests. As she is farther along you will notice enlargement of her nipples and mammary glands. Often a decrease in energy is noticed as early as two weeks into pregnancy, although this isn't always the case. You do not need to limit her activity, she will do this on her own. There is not a simple pregnancy test like we have for people, so you will have to wait a bit to know for sure. I hope this helps.

I recommend avoiding anything which could cause ger stress and would not bathe her if she normally dislikes it. If you do wash her br sure to keep her warm until fully dry but do not overheat her with hot dryers. Yes, it is fine for Laila to use the stairs throughout her pregnancy. In fact, it's good for her to have some moderate exercise to keep her in shape throughout her pregnancy, but not intensive exercise.

Thank you for submitting your question. I wouldn't start taking her out until the pups are 2-3 weeks of age. Then I would base if off of if she is interested in going or not. Time the walk after she has nursed and cleaned the pups. Go slow as you will need to gradually build her endurance back up. Be sure to provide her with free choice high quality puppy food and all the water she wants. I hope this information helps!

Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! I recommend starting pregnant mothers on puppy food. Commercial puppy food will provide all the nutrients, vitamins and appropriate calories she needs. I do not recommend raw or home cooked diets as they are deficient in the appropriate nutrients unless balanced by a nutritionist. Great question and congrats on Sasha's pregnancy! I would have her seen by vet in another 15 days for an x-rays. That will tell you how many puppies she is carrying so when she is whelping, you can count them and it will help you identify if there is a problem much sooner. I would also speak with your vet about complications to look out for during labor, and I would start setting aside some money just in case she needs an emergency c-section. It's best to be prepared financially so you aren't in a terrible situation if she does need one. You can feed her a puppy formulated food, but that needs to be stopped 10-14 days before she is due. At that point, put her back on an adult dog food. Once she has whelped her puppies, put her back on the puppy formulated food. She will need the extra calories, calcium, and protein a puppy food provides to support nursing her puppies. Make sure she is up to date on her flea treatment and deworming treatments.
