Can I remove ticks and bathe my dog right after tick spray?

I used tick spray on my dog about 16 hours ago. Now there’s some blood around the ticks but the ticks are still attached to the body. Can I remove the ticks with a tweezer and then give him a bath? Or should I wait for longer for the spray to affect the ticks. I heard that you have to wait 3 days to bathe a dog after being sprayed.

Definitely remove the ticks from Max's body, and make sure you get all parts of the tick. I will put a link below on how to remove ticks from a dog's body. Good day, my Cali has Tick and I dont know what to do. i've found two this morning after she took a bath.
You will have to buy a treatment for ticks such as Frontlie spot on for example, you will need to apply the treatment on the back of the neck and wait about 24 hours until the ticks fall from her. you can also remove them manually with the aid of a tick remover but you still need to apply a treatment against ticks to protect her.

I saw that one of my dogs had ticks so I bought her bravecto and gave it to her 2 days ago. Today when I checked her she still has ticks. Can I shower her with a tick repellent shampoo today or do o have to wait? The shampoo is “de flea”.
The ticks might still be attached but should be dead and very easy to remove. If it was an oral Bravecto it is fine for her to get a bath and I would think that regular shampoo should be fine. If it was a topical dose you need to wait 3 days after application to give a bath. You could manually remove the ticks or try using a flea comb.

Can my one immediately after a bath apply tick and lea treatment like protector to the dog or is it we must wait 24/49 hours before plying it
Since a bath wets the skin significantly and also softens it, I suggest you wait a few hours until your dog is completely dry , ie has a dry hair coat as well as completely dry skin. Once the skin is dry there should be no problem with application of the tick and flea treatment.

If there are only a few ticks you can safely remove them. If there are a lot of ticks, it would be best to have Max brought to your vet to have them removed. Your vet may also recommend testing for any tick-borne illnesses if you are an in area where this is an issue. i gave my dog Nexguard today for the first time this season. Tonight I found a tick ( it was a gray bubble) on his fur. Do I need to take him to the vet to have it removed or will it just fall off ?

I just got a new German Shepherd Lab mix puppy and he is covered in fleas. I've given him two very long baths using dawn soap and warm water and there are still a lot of fleas. Help me please.
Unfortunately bathing Maximillian will not help getting rid of the fleas, you will need to buy a good quality flea treatment. As you bathed him, you will need to wait 3 days in order to use any topical spot on treatment, otherwise it will not work, but you can instead use an oral tablet. here is the list of the best flea products on the market. Hello. Unfortunately, without a laboratory analysis, there is no way to know which tick may be a disease carrier. Spray your fipronil on a cloth & wipe down all areas you did not spray. This includes around the face, eyes & ears. If you pull or handle any of the ticks, do wash your hands thoroughly with soap & water. Watch for any signs of lethargy, loss of appetite, fever & shifting limb lameness which may indicate tick fever in your pet. Use your spray regularly to prevent reinfestation. My dog has too many ticks in his body. I tried to clean it up but it kept on appearing again and again. Now there are bunch of ticks in his body and no home remedy is working on it.
He needs a tick preventative such as Bravecto, Nexgard, or even Advantix over the counter can kill ticks quickly and prevent them for 30 days. Please get him on a tick preventative soon and visit your vet soon if you notice any symptoms of tick bite disease (i.e. anorexia, lethargy, fever or lameness). You should also avoid areas that he could be exposed to with high tick populations. Keep him out of the woods and consider getting your yard treated for. According to their website: How to use: Assemble the spray by fitting the pipe properly to spray gun. Spray the solution on the body of your pet from a distance of 10 - 20 cm against the direction of the hair. Spray till the hair of your pet gets wet. Apply on the complete body of animal & give main attention to the affected areas. Allow your pet to air dry instead of towel dry. Precautions: Avoid spraying into eyes. Do not allow your pet to lick after spraying. Wash the hands after use. Spray in a well-ventilated area. Keep the sprayed pets away from heat & flame until he gets dry. I don't see any mentioned side effects. It can take a few weeks sometimes to see symptoms of a tick borne disease.

My dog is up too date with her shots, however I just found 2 ticks on her. Not sure how long they were on her but one was much bigger than the other. She hasn't been showing any symptoms I have removed the ticks, but what should I do next?
I'm sorry Summer had ticks on her! If one was bigger than the other, then that meant that it did feed. Removing the ticks was exactly the right idea, and for now, I would keep any eye on the spots where you found the ticks. A small red bump may develop, but that should go away in a few weeks. If it doesn't go away or becomes larger, then Summer will need to see a vet. You can clean the area with warm water and antiseptic soap. As I'm sure you are aware, dogs can get diseases from ticks such as Lyme disease, but it can take weeks to months for those symptoms to appear. Again monitor her, and if she become very lethargic, starts limping, and/or has swollen and painful joints I would have her seen by a vet. Luckily Lyme disease can be treated with doxycycline. In the future, I would put Summer on a topical medication that also kills ticks such as Revolution. Good luck, I hope this helps!
