Adopted a new cat? What's the first vet visit cost and what to expect?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female

I found this cat/kitten and I posted photos everywhere, no one came to class her so I have adopted her. I want to take her in and check her health, any shots she may need, worm check, netureing (if needed/I’m not sure if it’s been done for her), flea medicine, and possibly a microchip. Whats the best route to take first to make sure she’s in good health? And what’s an estimate on what it’ll cost?

Best route is to take Dusk into a vet for a health check! This will let you know if everything is in good health. An office visit for that is typically around $45-55 depending on the area you live in and clinics in that area because prices vary. It's hard to give an exact price estimate. I can put a link below to the Vetco prices will give the information on vaccine costs as well as microchip costs and deworming treatments. I hope this helps! https://www.vetcoclinics.com/services-and-clinics/vaccination-packages-and-prices/
