My dog won't stand or walk and has bloody diarrhea. What should I do?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Shih Tzu | Female | unspayed | 9 months and 4 days old

Earlier at dawn, I woke up because of the noise Aki brought. Like as if she wants attention or in pain, something like that. So I asked Aki to come walk with me to the bathroom. But she won't stand up so I carried her. When we got there she pooped and peed. Her poop was watery and colored red orange. When we got out, she doesn't walk. Like it was hard for her to walk. Now, she doesn't even stand up even when I'm giving her food. Please tell me how do I make her stand up and walk again.

Aki doesn't sound like she is feeling well at all in the moment, and it's very concerning that she can't walk, won't stand up, and appears to have bloody diarrhea. This suggests she is very sick, and you need to take her into a vet right away. This is not something that can be treated at home, it requires veterinary care due to the seriousness of her symptoms. Please take her into a vet now.
