Hi, So we were told by our vet that dove’s body cant handle the fat or something like that so we have to keep her on a low fat diet which mean prescription food for the rest of her life. Then i noticed she has diarrhea and then has trouble pooping so they prescribed her a probiotic. That seems too help for a while then she gets diarrhea again and the cycle continues. Its hard for us to get her to not eat the cats food or our other dogs food. What can we do? Or will this be her normal?

The diarrhoea might be linked to the inability to process fat contained in food. It is probably going to occur with a certain frequency moving forward and I think it is important to try to keep her on a low fat diet, and do your best to prevent her from accessing cat food or other food that could be harmful. However,if every now and then this should occur it would not be too dangerous for Dove. Hope you can find the right balance !
