My cat is underweight after fleas. How to help him gain weight?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered

My cat Zxero had fleas recently and he had an allergic reaction {Lost all his fur.} And we got rid of them and got rid of any worms he might have had. But he isn't gaining enough weight. We tried to make sure he had a schedule to eat and things, but he still isn't gaining any weight at all. Is there anything natural we can do to help him gain weight? Or is just getting a different brand of food the best option?

The best option would be to have Zxero examined by your veterinarian. There are some medical conditions that can cause a cat to loose weight or to be inappetant. If a medical condition is ruled out, your veterinarian will be able to prescribe an appetite stimulant to help Zxerk eat more food.
