Baby rabbit has diarrhea, bloated stomach. Can I treat it at home?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Small Animal | Rabbit | Female

I got a baby rabbit from royal king. All of them has diarrhea (like mucous) and the one I got does. It’s stomach is a little round and fat like. I don’t have the money for the vet. But I’m real worried. Can I give it some of my antibiotics? Give it some vinegar diluted with water. What’s something I can do? I have two other rabbits as well.

I would consider returning her immediately. It is never advisable to take on an unwell pet, especially if you have other pets at home or are unable to provide the healthcare they require as and when needed. Pet ownership comes with responsibilities to protect and care for them which at times will require financial input for vetcare and medications
