Kittens are not old enough to get their first vaccines until they are at least six to eight weeks of age. Once Cookie is that old, you can take her into the vet to get her vaccines done. Good on you for being such a responsible pet owner and getting vaccines for your kitten! Feline core vaccines include FVRCP (feline distemper combo) and a Rabies vaccine. If she is an outdoor cat, the FeLV vaccine (feline leukemia) should be considered. I will put the schedule below: She will need three series of FVRCP each given four weeks apart to be fully vaccinated. First vaccine: 8 weeks of age Second vaccine: 12 weeks of age Third vaccine: 16 weeks of age The rabies vaccines requires two vaccines given four weeks apart for her to be fully vaccinated. First vaccine: 12-14 weeks of age Second vaccine: 16-18 weeks of age I will put a link below to Vetco's clinics and their vaccine costs so you can get an idea of how much to save. Hi, I adopted a kitten who has had her first two rounds of vaccines and needs one more and a rabies vaccine. her last FVRCP Booster was on 8/4, when should she get her next shots? and how much would they be at Vetco? Thanks!
The FVRCP vaccine should be administered every 3-4 weeks so it would be due 8/25 a 9/3. I believe cats are supposed to be vaccinated for rabies by 3 months of age in New York City - you might want to verify that with your local vet. My kittens are due for their 2nd set of shots. Which shots are these and what is the cost?
These shots are likely FVRCP and possibly Feline Leukemia vaccine. Costs do vary based upon where you live and if you go to a vaccine clinic or not. Information including pricing can be found for the Vetco vaccine clinics offered by Petco at Petco.com. Otherwise I recommend to call around or look at the websites of your local clinics. I would also check with your local animal shelter or animal control. I have a kitten he is six months, I’m not sure where to start. Which vaccines he need and how much they would be?
For prices I suggest you check the VETCO website. This is the company that provides vaccines inside Petco stores. ( https://www.vetcoclinics.com/services-and-clinics/clinic-locations-and-schedules/ ) He should have started his vaccines at 2 months of age so he is way behind on his vaccines. He will need FVRCP and Rabies now and then an FVRCP booster in 3- 4 weeks. If he will be going outdoors then he will also need a FeLV vaccine. It is best to go to the VETCO clinic and consult with the vet on duty. They can give you the best information after getting all the history from you. He will also need to be dewormed. You can also take Leo to full service vet clinic in your area if you prefer that. Best wishes.

Oh goodness, Kurama and the kitten are just adorable! At 3 months of age, it's the perfect time to give Kumara his second distemper/parvo combination vaccine. You may also consider bordetella (kennel cough), especially if he will be spending time around other dogs (grooming, boarding, dog park, etc) as well as leptospirosis, which has become more commonly seen in recent months in the northeast. At 16 weeks he'll get his final distemper/parvo booster, along with his rabies vaccination. You should also strongly consider a fecal test for parasites, as well as at least 2 deworming treatments. Your kitten will need 3 rounds of the feline distemper vaccine, starting at 8 weeks of age. Just like Kumara, she'll need rabies at 16 weeks. We are also recommending the feline leukemia vaccination for kittens, and also I recommend testing them for this disease as well as for feline AIDS. She will need to start her vaccination course at the age of 8 weeks, the second vac at the age of 11-12 weeks. this course of vaccination can cost between 60-100$. most cats get spayed at the age of 6 months, this is a simple surgical procedure that can cost between 80-150$.
