How to get a dog to eat dry food only? I know no human stuff but we use meat or cheese for training.... How long will it take if I’m consistent? And would they only eat rarely then?

Dogs thrive on routine, so begin a routine for feeding. Prepare the meal at the same time(s) every day. Leave it down for 20-30 minutes before picking it up whether she or he has eaten or not. Repeat this at the next mealtime. Offer no food, except tiny training treats, between meals. You can mix in some warm water or a teaspoon of baby food to stimulate the appetite. Be firm and be consistent. Do not worry, your dog will not starve. How long it may take will depend on the dog. Some realize to eat when offered or miss out pretty quick. After a time, he or she will learn to anticipate meal times and may become excited as the time approaches.
