Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Small Animal | Unknown - Small Animal | Female | 28 days old | 10 lbs

My guinea pig has a weird curled front toe. I dont know if its normal or if she needs to get her nail cut or what. Its also a little red at the root (?) of the nail.

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Mimi. She appears to need her nails trimmed. I would take her to the veterinarian for the nail trim. Then if the technician feels the red area is problematic, you can schedule an examination with the doctor. If all she needs is the trim, you will know this as well. I hope this information helps!
