Pregnant dog had clear discharge & pain. Should I be worried?

My dog is 40 days pregnant. This morning she seemed to be in pain and then discharged a puddle of clear fluid. She seems to be back to normal now. Should I be worried? Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Female | 5 years and 8 months old | 30 lbs

Any discharge is concerning in a pregnant animal and I strongly recommend you crate confine her to enforce rest and place her on white/pale bedding so you can monitor for any repeat episodes. If this recurs or she develops a fever she should be assessed by a vet, an ultrasound scan may be recommended to assess the health of the pregnancy
