Pet's info: Dog | Portuguese Water Dog | Male | 9 years and 7 months old
The top of my dog's paw is swollen. I noticed it was red and sprayed it with Vetrycin. The redness disappeared by the next day. There is no redness and no apparent abscess but it is a little bit tender when I palpate the paw. At first I thought he might have an abcess, but now I'm thinking he may have injured his foot. He is not limping and seems to be able to run and jump without any problem. I wonder what would you do if this were your dog? Thanks, Carel

Hi Carel! If Bodhi was my dog, I would have him seen by a vet for this problem. It's concerning that his paw is still swollen, and he is having pain if the area is tender when you palpate the paw. I recommend calling the vet in the morning to make an appointment to have him seen. Best of luck, I hope this helps!
