My pregnant cat is bleeding and licking. Is she having a miscarriage?

my cat Precious is maybe 4weeks pregnant and she is growling and licking her private a lot. She just isnt acting right. She is also bleeding a little on her private. Could she be having a miscarriage

Yes, it is possible that Precious could be having a miscarriage. It could also be she has an infection causing her to lick there a lot. It isn't normal for a cat to bleed during a pregnancy, and this is something that needs to be checked out by a vet. I'd advise you to take her into a vet now. Best of luck.

    I do think Precious needs to be seen by a vet as soon as possible, as that discharge isn't normal and it's concerning she is in pain. It could be that she isn't pregnant and she is suffering from a pyometra. This is an infection of the uterus that is fatal without treatment. This certainly would be a possibly if you haven't confirmed with your vet that she is pregnant. I would take her into an ER vet clinic. If there isn't one in your area, there will be a vet on call for emergencies. The information to reach that vet is found on a clinic's answering machine or website. Best of luck.
