What a cute baby. There could be a few reasons for the diarrhea. Being a puppy I worry about what she chewed on or ate. Look for any toys chewed up or anything missing. If she's not monitored outside any plants she chews on could cause diarrhea. I would recommend having a stool sample checked for any internal parasites. This is very common in puppies and is a high probability. Watch for any vomiting or if she becomes lethargic I would have her seen. Puppies can get different viruses that are very dangerous. You could try giving her a bland diet of boiled chicken without skin and cooked rice. this might help. IF it doesn't improve or she becomes worse have her seen. But definitely get a stool sample checked.

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Kiara. She is adorable! I'm glad to hear that despite the diarrhea she is still eating, drinking and acting normal. Intestinal parasites are common in young puppies or she could eaten something that didn't agree with her. The serious viral diseases are the ones she has been vaccinated against so this would be less likely. She will need to see her veterinarian on Monday if her symptoms persist. If she stops eating, begins to vomit or becomes lethargic, you will need to seek emergency care this weekend. If you have recently introduced any new treats or dog food, I would stop those until you can determine the cause of the diarrhea. In the meantime, encourage her to drink plenty of water so that she doesn't become dehydrated. I hope this information helps!

Good on you for having Penny seen by the vet for her diarrhea. I'm assuming intestinal worms were ruled out during this visit, as those are a very common cause of diarrhea in young puppies. Be sure to keep up with her deworming treatments, at her age she needs one every two weeks until she is three months of age. Then monthly until six months of age, and she should get a deworming treatment every three months thereafter. You can try a bland diet to see if that helps with her diarrhea. Withhold food for 6-8 hours, then feed her boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. If that helps with the diarrhea, then starts slowly adding back in her normal diet. Should the diarrhea continue on the bland diet, or she develops other signs such as anorexia, vomiting, or lethargy, take her back into the vet. Good luck, I hope this helps!
