Dog has a painful paw lump, limping and whining. What should I do?

My dog has a tiny lump on his paw. He was ok when we took him out n now he is limping and whining.

Poor Arnie! It sounds like his paw is hurting him, and the lump could be from a foreign body like a grass seed or foxtail, an infection, or an injury. Pain is causing him to limp and whine, so I would give your vet a call to set up an appointment to have him seen. Until you can get him into his vet, limit his activity since he's painful and only take him out to potty. Bring him right back in when he's done. Please do not give him any human pain medications, as many are toxic to dogs and can be fatal if given. Best of luck, I hope this helps!
