Why does my 3-month puppy still have diarrhea after deworming?

Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Female | unspayed | 3 months and 13 days old | 25 lbs

My 3 mo puppy lab had her first shots and deworming a week ago and she still have diarrhea, a few times her poop is normal but then is diarrhea. She eats and drinks water as normal and she also is very active. What can be wrong with her? Please help me.

Sometimes a single deworming is not sufficient and multiple rounds are needed. Bring another fecal sample into your vet to be analyzed and make sure no further deworming is required. I would also consider what diet you are feeding her, if she is getting any other foods snuck in by other parties secretly, and if she is experiencing any undue stress. All of these factors can result in occasional to chronic episodes of diarrhea. There are also many, many other disease processes that can cause diarrhea but these are the most common causes in a young, puppy. As long as there is no evidence of vomiting or significant blood in the diarrhea, you probably don't need to worry about Parvovirus. Hope this helps.
