My dog's broken nail is swollen after treatment. Could it be a tumor?

My dog broke her nail by hitting to a wall and after some days of treatment it started swelling may I know what can I do and how can I treat this one

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! This does not look like a simple broken nail. It looks like she has unfortunately developed a mass in the nail region. While this could still possibly be inflammation, I think a tumor is much more likely. I highly recommend that you have Laila evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Generally, this is diagnosed just on a fine needle aspirate which does not require sedation in most cases. Common tumors in this region include squamous cell carcinoma, melanoma and mast cell tumors.
