My cat has a red, tender bald spot from licking. Vet needed?

Finally able to get a better picture. Just picked our car up from being with two other cats he’s spend a lot of time with from our week out of town, it’s red and looks like he’s licked a bald spot. What should be do? Also should we take him to the vet tomorrow. We haven’t seen any pus but it seems tender to him. Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered

I would gently clean it with warm water and antiseptic soap. If you see Sterling licking at it, put an Ecollar on him to stop him from doing it. You can make one at home or buy one at a pet store. I would take him into a vet tomorrow since it bothers him.
