My dog's tail has a painful, growing bump. Why can't she wag it?

She’s had a bump on her tail for a while but it’s never been this big. Now that it’s gotten bigger it makes her tail appear broken she can hardly wag it and she doesn’t want anyone touching it. Do you have any idea of what this could be, what could cause this, and if we have to have a procedure done what would have to be done?

Wow, that is quite big. I'd be afraid this is something serious like a malignant tumor. It needs to be seen by a vet in the morning. If it is malignant, depending on the spread, the tail may need to be removed.
