My dog has been vomiting blood for days. Is this an emergency?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Male | neutered | 4 years and 4 months old | 100 lbs

110 lb 4.5 yo lab mix has been vomiting for a few days. Eating and voiding normally. Behavior also normal. Most recent vomitus was grass with some fresh blood (new development)

Thank you for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach with your question about Zeus. Oh no, that's not good! Vomiting blood is very serious, and if he's been vomiting for a few days, it could be this vomiting has caused damage to stomach and/or esophagus. Regardless, vomiting blood is a medical emergency, and he has to see a vet now,. Please take him into an ER vet clinic; if there isn't one in your area, there will be a vet on call for emergencies. The information to reach that vet is found on a clinic's answering machine or website. Best of luck.
