My cat goes ballistic in the carrier. How do I get him to the vet?

Cant get my cat into cat carrier box as he goes ballistic as soon as I lift him to put him in. He needs to get a shot from vet. He is a rescue cat and pretty calm otherwise. Any suggestions? Pet's info: Cat | American Bobtail Shorthair | Male | neutered | 9 lbs

Hello, I'd recommend making the cat carrier a positive experience over time. You can do this by keeping the carrier out in the open and using treats and toys to reward Cotton for being near or inside the carrier. This does take time, practice, and patience.
