Hello. My puppy Patch seems really dull during the morning time. After coming back from walk he'll sleep off the morning period. Won't even have his breakfast. This is happening for almost a week now. I tried different food but nothing changed. Today he is extra dull. He vomited out yellow mucus and isn't eating anything. His stool is solid but dark in colour. He's very active in the evening. He takes his lunch and dinner normally. He has drools puppy food chicken flavour. What do I Do?

Hi there and thank you for using pet coach to address your concern. It is difficult to say what the exact cause of the vomiting is as there are many things that can cause this. However that being said, many times the diet can be contributed to any gastrointestinal problems or an imbalance of the normal bacteria in the intestines can also lead to problems. If patch is fine otherwise, I would suggest switching to a new dog food completely and give it about 4 to 6 weeks. You can also add in a probiotic to the dog food such as Purina fortiflora which can be found online quite easily. If the vomiting does not improve then I would recommend having patch examined by a veterinarian so that the most appropriate Diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made.I hope this helps guide you in the right direction. Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns and I would be more than happy to help you further.
