Why is my cat eating constantly, losing weight, and having diarrhea?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 14 years and 3 months old | 4 lbs

She is acting like she is starving like no tomorrow. Thin, diarrhea, some vomiting, won't go in the litter box now for 2 years. Eats and drinks anything and everything at least twelve times a day. Had couple rounds of dewormers and antibiotics and iron. Vet can't find anything wrong with her from labs.

Even if your veterinarian does not find anything abnormal on blood tests, your cat may be hyperthyroid, (euthyroid sick). You may want to discuss this with your veterinarian or have your cat referred to a veterinary internist. I recommend having her thyroid tested again,
