My puppy pees frequently, but only small amounts. Is this normal?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 2 months and 17 days old | 5 lbs

i have a 10 week old pitbull/lab mix puppy. lastnight she was a little bit constipated. she did manage to get good poops out since then she has been trying to pee frequently but only a small amount comes out. is this normal?

No, this isn't normal, this symptom usually indicates a urinary tract infection. if this does not resolve in the next couple days i would recommend taking her to the vet for a urine analysis (try to collect some urine before your vet apointment), if the test comes back positive for an infection she will need a course of antibiotics in order to get better.

    While puppies do pee frequently it should always be a normal amount. If she’s trying to pee with only a small amount each time she may have a urinary infection or puppy vaginitis. Please make sure she’s eating and drinking a good amount. If this continues today then I recommend an exam and urinalysis to make sure there is not a medical problem that needs treatment.
