My cat's stitches fell out, wound is open and seeping. What to do?

My cat recently had a wound at the base of his spine stitched 10 days ago. The stitches have now fell apart and there is a raw gaping wound, with slight seepage. Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Male | 9 months and 28 days old | 9.039 lbs

I am sorry to hear that TJ has this going on. I am worried that the wound is infected. Stitches often break down if there is an infection. I would highly encourage you to have a follow up appointment with your veterinarian as soon as possible. In the meantime you can use a warm water and Epsom salts compress to keep the area clean.
